Woodland Melody (POEM)

Oh how woodland sounds

They pull at my soul.

I walk in these woods

And my spirit takes hold.

Bird songs like lullabies,

Drifting through pines.

They filter out restlessness,

Uncluttering my mind.

Damp and cool breezes

Sweeping down from the sky,

They infultrate my pores

And flush out my eyes.

I swear in these woodlands

My mind changes form,

As I realize once again that nature is my norm.

This city life we live,

Hustling so fast.

It is like life is a race car

On a race track.

The soft woodland melody,

It is taking a toll

And oh so thankful am I

That it has lifted my soul.
