Some Days On The Farm Surprise You More Than Others

Well, it is that time of year again – baby goats, lambs about to drop, seed starts growing fast, chicks hatched and growing under heat lamps, robins, cardinals and bluebirds out.  Yes it is the onset of Spring.

But, some days on the farm surprise us more than others.  Today was one of those days.  Meet our new best friend – one horn.  Yes, we named him.  This young man, beautfiul as can be, first came into our cow pasture to bond with the cows and the alpaca.  He totally let all of us pet him and let him know he is loved in spite of being wild.  Then he headed up to the upper pasture and barn to hang with the horses and goats for a while.  He literally had no fear and let us rub him, he ate feed with our little goats and hung out with the duck for a while.

Days like these, which are complete surprises, really make us feel so blessed to be able to live so close to nature!

God Bless! L. Davis
