Farmers Like Us Waiting For Spring (POEM)

It is that time of year

For farmers about.

We rumble around the house

Wanting to get out.

We wait on our ewes and goats for their babes.

Our plots in our gardens,

Ready to raise.

The seeds they have started,

Pushing up from the dirt.

While daffodils burst forth,

In springtime’s first spurt.

Oh, how we long

For daylight to extend,

As our early spring mornings

Inspire us to no end.
