A Mother’s Love (Poem)

She reaches deep inside, pulling on me.

My heart strings stretch to reach her.

Her hands go up and open.

I pull her close.

So close the embrace engulfs me.

My heart, my mind, consumed.

What is this love?

So profound. So Life altering.

It is the love of a mother for her child.

Perfectly, with big blue eyes, she looks up in wonder.

With big blue eyes, I look down at her.

Little one, who’s engulfed me.

Flooding me with emotion for all these years.

I will love until my dying breath.

She is my child.

So profound. So life altering.

writing on the love I feel for my daughter just home from college and how fast she’s grown and how deep the love will always be
