Poetry of life on the farm by #thepoetfarmer
FIRST DAY OF SPRING (Poem)
Bloom, bloom, bloom I cry…
As Spring breaks forth this morn.
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye I shout…
Winter, it’s time to adjourn.
Hooray, we holler from round about,
It’s a new day, it’s another new dawn.
I am so happy, happy to get out today,
The daffodils are calling, I’m drawn.
We survived another winter sojourn,
Curled up in blankets and books.
But it’s a new season now; the colors burst,
It’s Springtime, starting this morn.
